Κορυφαίο στέλεχος της Microsoft αποκάλυψε ότι η εταιρεία θα συμμετάσχει τον επόμενο μήνα στην έκθεση CES για τελευταία φορά.

Έτσι, από τη CES 2013 κι έπειτα ο κολοσσός του software δε θα παρουσιάζει προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες στην αμερικανική έκθεση.
Αυτό, πάντως, δε σημαίνει ότι τα στελέχη της εταιρείας θα σνομπάρουν επιδεικτικά την εκδήλωση. Όπως εξήγησε ο αντιπρόεδρος Frank Shaw σε blog post, η Microsoft δε θα διατηρεί περίπτερο στη CES, ούτε θα υπάρχει ομιλία του CEO όπως συμβαίνει μέχρι σήμερα, αλλά τα στελέχη θα βρίσκονται κανονικά στην έκθεση.
Ο Shaw δικαιολόγησε την αποχώρηση της Microsoft λέγοντας ότι ο Ιανουάριος βρίσκεται πάντα μακριά από την εποχή που η εταιρεία ανακοινώνει νέα προϊόντα, οπότε δεν υπάρχει λόγος να συμμετέχει ενεργά

Shaw justified the withdrawal of Microsoft saying that January is always away from the time when the company announces new products, so there is no reason to participate actively
